I often get lots of questions around my SLP planner, so I thought I’d take a few of the most common ones and compile them here! That way you can get the best possible use out of your SLP planner.

1. Do I have to choose between a digital or printable planner?
Nope! You have both options fully available to you. Use whichever pages you’d like of the digital planner and print any pages you need from the printable planner.
2. Do I have to have a Google account to access the planner?
Yes, but it’s free and easy to get an account. Check out this post with step by step instructions on how to access a Google account.
3. How many slots do you have for each day in the weekly planning section?
There are several options to choose from. The options contain sheets with 4 slots or “groups” per page all the way up to 10. Plus, the tables are fully customizable, meaning you can add more if you need to. You just might have to make some adjustments to the text.
4. Is there a limit to how many columns and rows you can have on the forms?
The tables are fully customizable, meaning you can add columns and rows as you need them. You just may need to adjust the text or sizings.
5. Will the pages fit a different size planner, like the Happy Planner?
The printable planner is designed to be printed on 8.5×11 inch paper with 1 inch margins, but the sizing of the document can be changed to fit your needs. Just go to file > page setup and change it to the inches of the paper size you need.
If you have a smaller planner, like a Happy Planner, you can easily shrink any of the pages on your printer settings and then trim them to fit your planner.
*Tip: The magic number for the Happy Planner is to shrink your pages to 84%, according to other websites. You may have to play around with it though. Then, trim your paper to 7X9¼ inches, leaving a small margin on the left side to punch the holes
6. Can the planner be used next school year too?
Yep! All of the dates and headings are customizable, so you are easily able to change them to whatever date/year you want. However, every summer I will do it for you and update it all for free!
7. What products do you use to put your planner together?
Here are the basics of what I use:
- TUL Discs (or discbound notebook)
- TUL Punch
- TUL tabbed dividers
- At least 24lb paper
If you want more products I use and a more detailed explanation of how I put it all together, check out this post!
8. Will the planner work with a note taking app like Goodnotes or Notability?
Yes! Simply save the file as a PDF and open the PDF on your note-taking app. I have a more detailed post on how I put together my digital planner at this blog post.
9. Do you have to be an SLP to be able to use this planner, or will it work for other professionals?
It was made to be used by SLPs, but because the planner is so customizable that I’m sure several other professionals would be able to use it. Even though it’s for SLPs, some OTs I know also use it and love it.
10. Can pages be added to the planner?
Duplicate any of the planner pages by going to slide > duplicate slide. If you have a page from another Google Slides product, just copy and paste it into the document. The printable planner also works well combined with printed pages from other planners.
